Dynamite to Test ‘3rd Time’s a Charm’ Theory in Arena Open Cup Quarters

-Look to Go Big or Go Home in Dallas-

Though the forecast called for an explosive storm of indoor soccer between rival Colorado Blizzard and the Denver Dynamite, in what could have been a pivotal match with both league and cup implications on the line, it never made to the metro area. Amidst what started as unforeseen issues with HRCA’s Westridge turf ended with the Blizzard forfeiting due sponsorship woes, the Dynamite find themselves walking on to their 3rd straight Quarter Final in the US Arena Open Cup.

Denver will need to stand tall as they head to Dallas to take on Vitesse in a Texas showdown for a spot in the Semis.  Both teams have only faced each other one other time in history: 2009-10 US Open Cup of Arena Soccer, where Vitesse Dallas handed the Dynamite a 15-2 drubbing before falling 11-7 to the San Diego Sockers.  But that was then, and this is now.  Now the Dynamite look to be quicker on the draw and have the desireto prove they deserve to face the winner of Detroit Waza/Cincinnati Kings; and they plan to do so, "One Touch at a Time."

The US Arena Soccer Open Cup Championship is a separate title from the Professional Arena Soccer League (PASL-Pro) championship. The tournament consists of the opening round (open to anyone, including local Mens Open and PASL-Premier teams), regional events, elimination play (round of 16), a final four round and the championship.

The Dynamite continue to look at capturing their first Rocky Mountain Division, US Arena Open Cup and PASL-Premier championship titles when they open at their new home for 2012 in February: Apex Field House, 10664 W 58th Ave, Arvada, CO 80002.  Single game tickets are just $5 at the door for general admission and Family4Life season ticket packages are still available for just a $40 donation.
