The mood is set; the final pieces are in place, and the
Dynamite look to make a triumphant return to indoor soccer circuit of the
Premier Arena Soccer League, "One Touch at a Time." Not when the first whistle blows; not then,
but now... Dynamite, ignite:
After a successful season with the Springfield Demize
(currently on hiatus from the PASL-Pro) last season, Justin Ferguson found
himself back west and eager to help rebuild the Dynamite. Justin's other
accolades include Trials with FC New York & Richmond Kickers (USL-Pro),
2009 PDL All Conference Honorable Mention with the Springfield Demize (USL-PDL).
Roby Monroe,
makes his Dynamite return to the Highlands Ranch, CO based squad. But before
his origins with Denver,
he played for the Colorado Lightning in the PASL-Pro's inaugural season and was
rostered on the original San Diego Sockers, who played in the previous
incarnation of the Major Indoor Soccer League. He also played on several United
Soccer League; Premier Development League (USL-PDL) teams such as the Colorado
Comets, San Diego Gauchos, El Paso Patriots, and Nashville Metros. He also
spent a stint in Cincinnati
with the Riverhawks who played in the USL's A-League, now known as USL-Pro.
A diamond in the rough, Poncho Puente, came out of nowhere
working his way up from the Denver's reserve squad in Dynamite fashion,
notching 6 goals and 9 points in his first PASL-Pro match; 2nd only to the San Diego Sockers: Kraig
Chiles and fellow teammate Jay Hamilton (7 goals, 11 points) in the
Professional Arena Soccer League's history.
Other notable players from the PASL-Premier joining the
Dynamite family are defenders Danny Bills & Tyler Conley and midfielders
Taylor Kendal & Andrew Kummer (Colorado Predators/Denver Dragons), plus
Defender Dan Millard & forward Trevor Wheeler (Denver Boom) with goalkeeper
Jordan Howes (Golden Strikers).
The Dynamite kick off their 2011-12 campaign on the road
with back-to-back games this weekend in Edwards, where they face Freedom FC on
Saturday at 7PM; followed by a trip up I-25 to Ft. Collins
to go toe-to-toe with the Fury Sunday at 6PM.
